Spilling the Tea on Pinterest Analytics
As a content creator, business owner, or social media manager, analytics are your best friend. They help guide you on what kind of content to create and what your audience likes to see.
At HAUS OF PRODUCTIVITY, we have a couple of favorite metrics.
Let’s dive in!
Impressions
Impressions are a vanity metric but they are useful to know if your content is being seen by Pinterest users in your niche and across Pinterest as a whole. They are the number of times your pins or ads were on screen for the lifetime of the pin or ad.
Engagements
Engagements are the total number of engagements on your pin including saves, pin clicks, and outbound clicks. This is not to be confused with impressions. When a Pinterest user clicks on your pin, and/or decides to follow through to the link you attached, it counts as an engagement.
Outbound Clicks
Outbound clicks are the number of times people perform actions that lead them to destination off Pinterest. Basically, when someone clicks on the link attached to your pin, and it takes them to that link.
Saves
Saves are the number of times people save your pin to a board. This can be highly indicative that you are creating content that resonates with your target audience because they want to save it to refer back to it later!
